Regulations for the use of documentation that has been duplicated from archives:

The documentation is accessible for purposes of scholarly or family research.

1. The user must respect the privacy of individuals mentioned in the documentation.
2. Duplication of complete files requires authorization from the archive of origin.
3. Citation of documents must include both the original and the Yad Vashem Archives file numbers.
4. Researchers who publish their findings are requested to send a copy of the publication to the archive of origin, as well as to the Yad Vashem Archives.
5. Researchers who wish to publish an entire document must receive written authorization from the archive of origin.
6. The archival law of the country of origin must be taken into consideration when using the documentation.
